Background: When Bijeta was just one month old, her father left the family and he is still not in contact with them. Now, Bijeta and her mother are living with relatives. Bijeta’s mother is working as a housekeeping employee at a private health clinic at Kathmandu and she earns only Nrs 5.000 (€ 40) a month. With this, she has to pay for transportation-costs for her work, her daughter’s scholing and food for both of them.
School: Bijeta is studying at the Gundu English Secondary School in Bhaktapur. She is probably the best in her class because of her amazing grades.
Exam result school year 2013-2014: Bijeta has an average score of 99,4% for her tests in UKG. She has been promoted to class 1.

Update August 2015 from Hari, our coordinator in Nepal: “Bijeta passed grade one exam with scoring 91% and she became the first girl at grade one . she is studying at grade two at same school . She is so keen interested to learn different things . She also participate occasionally Educare lesson run by Sairam Foundation and Siddhi Memorial Foundation .”
