Background: Srijana is the youngest child of the family. She lives with her mother and two older brothers in a rented room in Bhaktapur. Her father left her when she wasn’t even born yet. He never contacted the family. Srijana’s mother works as a carpet weaver and earns a monthly basis at the factory only € 25. She works hard to care of the children, but it is difficult to provide the basic needs of the family.
Her older brother is in the support program of the Foundation Rugmarg, while her other brother lives with the family and goes to school.

Update August 2015 from Hari, our coordinator in Nepal: “Two weeks before we met srijana and her mother and paid the school cost, books , uniforms and stationeries for the academic year 2015/2016. Srijana is studying at same public school . She passed grade five exam with scoring 61% and now she is at the grade six . Her mother doing same work like last year and financial situation is same . Her brother also studying and getting support from other organization . “
